#Day 556: In The Scheme Of Love

You came to me in flashes of lightning,

Under pale purple eyelids.

The wee morning hours began,

And streaking sunlight hid.

I watched you through psychosis,

And paranoia of the sleeping chant.

In the quiet moments that follow deep sleep,

You walked around in my mind.

Opening windows and banging doors,

Knocking around frames and candlesticks.

And the lights changed into a violent protest,

You crawled into the recess of my thoughts.

And build a little fire from my fears,

That burned down all restraints.

I fell into a mammoth pit,

As you tore down walls in my head.

Kissing the hidden shadows,

You drank from my fountain of sorrow,

And fed on my worst insecurities.

Weak and abruptly it ended,

There was no crevice untouched.

You had rained down on me.

And when I opened my eyes to the light,

I was no longer who I was

The night before.

I was now a grown dreamer.

A living entity and breathing wholly,

In the land of conscious emotion.

And it was you had brought me,

To the parallel brink of reality,

From the fading episodic darkness.

And when I opened my eyes to the light,

I was no longer my own,

I was,

Yours.
